Our Founding Story

In 2014, ACTO was founded by Parth Khanna (Chief Executive Officer), Kapil Kalra (Chief Revenue Officer), and Kumar Erramilli (Chief Technology Officer). Starting off as an industry agnostic corporate training mobile app called ACTO, inspired by the phrase “Act Today”, the unique solution offered dynamicity and automation to training programs. It also offered engagement tracking and provided insights to managers.
In early 2017, due to ACTO’s advanced design to support technical training, maintain records and track progress, ACTO was deemed the perfect fit for a highly regulated and complex environment: the life sciences industry.

ACTO begins catering to the life sciences industry.

2017

Seed funding

ACTO’s seed funding with VCs; MaRS IAF, Extreme Venture Partners and Panache commences.

2018

Chart-topping growth

ACTO closes 2018 with 248% growth in ARR and a customer base of 48 large and mid-market sized life sciences companies since January 2018.

2019

Partnership with Salesforce

ACTO became technology partners with Salesforce and joined the Salesforce partner community, which leads to ACTO and Salesforce creating a go-to-market strategy together.
